Zone 4 Tournament
Zone Tournaments are the
second step in the progression of competitions leading to the National
Events. The top 30% of competitors from each of these tournaments will
go on to compete in the Wisconsin Bass State Federation State Finals
Tournament.
2008 Zone 4
Tournament
May 30-June 1, 2008
Pools 5 and 5A- Mississippi River
The waters chosen for this year’s zone tournament should be exciting and
also challenging for all of us. We will be using the public landing at
the south end of Fountain City (near the liquor store) where parking
will be at a premium and patience a necessity.
Because of the extreme limitation of shoreline for parking boats, we
will plan on bringing fish to the weigh in from the trailered boats and
then releasing the fish at the ramp. This will require an off-limits
area for day two but I will attempt to keep that to a minimum. All of
these things (and more) were discussed with your club rep and will be
discussed again at the April Rep’s meeting. If you have
questions/concerns, please get them to your club rep or me prior to the
April meeting.
We will hold our pre-tournament meeting at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 30th.
You are expected to attend but I MUST be notified in advance if you are
unable to make it so proper notification can be given to your partner.
Remember, the water will be off limits from Monday, May 26th through
Thursday, May 29th. Pre-fishing will be allowed on Friday, May 30th from
first light until 5:00 PM.
It is anticipated that tournament hours will be 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM or
very close to that. We will announce the hours at the meeting.
